What are scenes?
Scenes are automated actions that trigger based on events, schedules, or locations. Instead of manually arming the system, locking doors, and adjusting the thermostat every night, a single "Closing Time" scene handles everything automatically.
Schedule-based
Trigger scenes at specific times. Arm the system at 10pm every night, unlock doors at 7am on weekdays, or adjust thermostats before employees arrive.
Event-based
React to security events automatically. When the alarm is armed, lock all doors and set thermostats to away mode. When disarmed, turn on lights and unlock the front entrance.
Location-based
Use geo-fencing to trigger scenes when employees arrive or leave. Automatically arm the system when the last person leaves the geofence area.
Common business scenes
Opening routine
Triggered when the first employee disarms the system:
- Unlock front entrance
- Turn on interior lights
- Set thermostat to occupied mode
- Send "Store opened" notification to manager
Closing routine
Triggered when the system is armed at end of day:
- Lock all doors
- Turn off all lights (except security lighting)
- Set thermostat to energy-saving mode
- Verify all entry points are secured
Emergency lockdown
Triggered by panic button or app:
- Lock all exterior doors immediately
- Alert monitoring station
- Begin recording on all cameras
- Send emergency notification to designated contacts
After-hours access
Triggered when authorized user disarms after hours:
- Turn on entry area lights only

Geo-Services
Location-aware automation
Geo-services use smartphone location to trigger automation based on where your employees are. Set up geofences around your business locations and let the system respond intelligently to arrivals and departures.
Arrival detection
Automatically prepare the building when an authorized user enters the geofence. Pre-cool the space, unlock doors, and disable motion sensors before they arrive.
Last-to-leave arming
